The Rock Churches is the name used by The Rock Community Church Inc.

What Rockhub Is

Rockhub is a tool provided by The Rock Churches to help its leaders care for the people they are discipling. It is offered to members of the church at no cost, and the church may change it or stop offering it.

Your Account

Your account is yours and is not to be shared. You are responsible for what is done with it, so keep your password to yourself and tell the church if you think somebody else has it.

The church can suspend or remove an account that is being misused.

The People In Here Are Real

Almost everything you put into Rockhub is somebody’s personal information, and most of those people are not members of this church and never agreed to be in it. That is the one thing worth reading twice.

So, when you use Rockhub, you agree that you will:

  • only save details about people you have a genuine reason to be in touch with;
  • write about people as you would want somebody to write about you;
  • not take contact details out of Rockhub to use for anything that is not the work of the church;
  • not use it to send anybody messages they have asked you to stop sending.

Messages you send through Rockhub are sent by your own phone, from your own number. They are yours, and so is what they say.

Texts From The Church

When you make a Rockhub account you are asked whether the church may send you text messages. There are two tick boxes and they are separate:

  • Church notices — service times, meeting reminders and important notices.
  • Invitations and news — invitations to church events and news about what the church is doing.

You may tick either, both or neither, and neither is required to have an account. If you tick nothing, we do not text you.

These come from the church’s own number, not from a leader’s phone, and they go to the whole church rather than to you individually. We do not sell or hand your number to anybody else.

When you tick a box, the church sends you one text confirming it. After that, how often varies with what is happening, and is usually a few times a month.

Reply STOP to any of them and they stop. That is immediate and permanent until you ask us to start again, and it does not affect your account or anything else in Rockhub. Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@therockchurches.com.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. How your number and your answer are kept is in the privacy policy; texting consent is never shared with anybody.

What You Put In

What you write stays yours. You give the church permission to store and show it inside Rockhub so the app can do its job, and for nothing else.

Your leader can see the people you are looking after and the lists you build. Your private notes are yours alone. The privacy policy sets out exactly who can see what.

What Rockhub Does Not Promise

Rockhub is provided as it is. The church will do its best to keep it working and to keep what is in it safe, but it cannot promise the app will never be unavailable or never make a mistake.

Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. Rockhub is a help to the work, not the only copy of it.

Leaving

You can ask for your account and everything in it to be removed at any time. Write to hello@therockchurches.com.
